Using dimana to
say where
In
bahasa Indonesia we have dimana to say where. We use dimana to ask about place,
for example we say dimana rumahmu? (where is your home), dimana jalan Ahmadyani
(where is Ahmadyani street) and so forth.
Pay
attention to the following dialogues talking about place.
1.
Iqbal
is going to go Sokanandi hotel, but he does not know where is it. He asks a
woman to tell him.
Iqbal : permisi bu, saya mau tanya
Bu
Halima : ya ada yang bisa saya bantu?
Iqbal : saya mau ke hotel Sokanandi, hotel
sokanandi itu dimana ya?
Bu
Halima : ow, hotel Sokanandi di Jl.
Tentara pelajar.
Iqbal : terima kasih bu...
Bu
Halima : iya sama-sama
Meaning.
Iqbal : excuse me, I want to ask you
